Volunteer Insurance Coverage

Just in time for Northwest Hospitality’s next big cleanup event in Fremont on Saturday, March 23rd, we have all our volunteer insurance coverages in place. Hopefully we will never need to use any of it but should it be required, our volunteers will now receive secondary medical coverage and secondary auto coverage.

“Secondary” just means that their personal insurance will be billed first and NWH’s insurances will be used to cover leftovers. The auto coverage is only extended to volunteers who are driving their personal vehicles for a Northwest Hospitality event. For example, taking trash to the dump after one of our Environmental Hospitality events. Volunteers will not be eligible to receive the secondary coverage for incidents that occur on the way to or from volunteer events.

Please get in touch or leave a comment if you would like more information. Our goal is to do everything in our power to protect our volunteers and continue encouraging more service for the people we see struggling in the streets every day.

Thank you for your support, I hope to see you out volunteering with us soon; get in touch if you have a spot you’d like to see cleaned up!
