March 5, 2022: Veteran's Memorial Park cleanup

  • 985 Retsil Road Southeast Port Orchard, WA, 98366 United States (map)

So many smiles - and they moved over 25,000 lbs of trash that day!!!

Come join our esteemed Volunteer Lead, Lauren, for the next installment in our continued efforts at Veterans Memorial Park. Each visit gets us closer to a cleaner park by 4-5 tons or more.

Thanks to the weekly efforts of some incredible NWH volunteers, including park residents, and partnerships with the Kitsap County Parks Department, Kitsap County Public Works, West Sound Utility District, and others, Veterans Park has not been this clean in years but we saved a little work for you :)

Come out and help us get caught up! Once we get it all out there the park will be clean and we’ll be able to keep it that way!

Read more about our cleanups and why they are so important on our blog!

If you aren’t able to join us, please consider donating to help feed our volunteers lunch when we don’t get lunch donated by fantastic local establishments :) Any excess donations will be used to feed volunteers at future events.
