August 2023 Newsletter
Did you know Northwest Hospitality has a designated program to support the health and wellbeing of pets? Our Animal Rescue, Outreach, and Rehab (AROR) program is run by Pam Cone, a member of Northwest Hospitality’s Board of Directors. Pam and the AROR team work with homeless people and their pets.
How exactly does the Animal Rescue, Outreach, and Rehab Program help pets?
Fostering animals for unhoused people if they have medical procedures, go on trips, or temporarily cannot care for their pet
Spaying and neutering pets
Vaccinating pets
Taking pets to vet appointments when needed
Providing pet food and supplies for pet owners in need
In 2021, Northwest Hospitality and the AROR program worked with folks living in Veterans Memorial Park in Port Orchard, WA. Part of our outreach at Veterans Park included supporting the pets that were living outdoors at the park with their owners. Pam took kittens to the vet for vaccinations and spaying, provided food and pet supplies for the pet owners in the park, and worked hard in many other ways to make sure people’s pets were happy, safe, and healthy with their owners.
If you or someone you know needs services or supplies for a pet, fill out a form here or call Pam: 888-222-5240 x4 then dial 2

Thank you to everyone who supports our work of helping those in our community that are experiencing homelessness or unstable housing. We couldn’t do any of this important work without your support.
